AQC is a licensed architectural firm with over three decades of knowledge and expertise in real estate planning, development and design.
We specialize in partnering with both commercial and not-for- profit entities to provide pragmatic models and solutions for entry-level wealth generation in economically disenfranchised communities.
Capabilities include complete project conceptualization; strategic assistance and analysis of site selection; 3-D massing; project feasibility studies; zoning analyses; preliminary building code reviews; initial pro formas with cash flow/sources & uses spreadsheets; and more. We have extensive experience negotiating approvals through city regulatory agencies, including the City of New York’s ULURP processes.
AQC can create a variety of architectural scenarios for sites slated for new construction, as well as projects that seek to reposition existing buildings/shells. We can test architectural scenarios for feasibility through generation of pro formas that can realistically highlight viable projects within pre-set financial parameters. We seek to create economic/cultural value for stakeholders in disadvantaged communities through identification of participatory opportunities and profit-sharing within the overall development process.
Anthony is originally from Chicago, and has been molded and inspired by that city’s epic architecture, midwestern urbanity, and cultural diversity. His early life experience provided a direct lens into the dismantling of Black-owned business and community infrastructure through redlining and economic disenfranchisement - and instilled in him a passion to right these systemic wrongs. At Hampshire College, he was influenced by the emerging Feminist and LGBTQ movements of the1970s; as a graduate student in the1980s, he became active in organizations that were confronting the AIDS crisis. He has always sought to meaningfully integrate these formative life experiences into concepts of architectural and developmental planning & design.
